Dr. OierceMeet Dr. Pierce!

Marealita Pierce, M.D. a native Chicagoan, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine.  She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, an affiliate of Medical College of Wisconsin. 

She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Pierce began her pediatric career at Carle Clinic in Danville, Illinois and returned home to Chicago in 1999.

Dr. Pierce was an attending physician in general pediatrics for seven years at the University of Chicago where she taught medical students and pediatric residents.  She was a member of the multi-disciplinary Craniofacial-Cleft Palate team for three years while at the University of Chicago, and also served as a student interviewer and member of the admissions committee of the Pritzker School of Medicine. In addition, she provided general pediatric health care to children at Friend Family Health Center.

Dr. Pierce has volunteered as a Principal for a Day at the Chicago Public Schools and served as an invited speaker for the annual Preparing for Adolescence Seminar (for pre-teen girls and their mothers) at the University of Chicago.
